Discover how Burbank evolved into Media Capital of the World.

Learn about the city’s heritage and history at the Gordon R. Howard Museum Complex. The museum’s entrance is a small Victorian residence built in 1887 named the Mentzer House. 1887 was also when Burbank was founded. Mentzer House was moved to its current museum location from Palm Avenue and 6th Street. All the rooms are decorated with authentic period furniture dating from the late 1800s to the 1930s.

After passing through the house into the small museum, you’ll discover Disney memorabilia, vintage automobile, an old Bob’s Big Boy statue and more, all courtesy of the Burbank Historical Society.
