The new museum is home to the 2,000 works of art with the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide.
The Broad is a contemporary art museum founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad. With its innovative “veil-and-vault” concept, the building features two floors of gallery space to showcase The Broad’s comprehensive collection.
By actively building a dynamic collection that features in-depth representations of influential contemporary artists and by advancing education and engagement through exhibitions and diverse public programming, the museum enriches, provokes, inspires, and fosters appreciation of art of our time.
